Welcome to the Nest, PC’24
Fall Recruitment 2024 presented many new and fun challenges, but we are thankful for the intentional conversations and relationships that were built through the hybrid recruitment process. After a week consisting of both a day of Zoom calls and in-person laughter and tears, we welcomed home 94 new hooties on bid day!!

When do I sign up for Panhellenic Recruitment?

Can I participate in New Maroon Camp and Panhellenic Recruitment?
Absolutely! New Maroon Camp is scheduled for August 11th to August 15th. We encourage anyone who is interested in New Maroon Camp to register here!
What is a recommendation letter and how many do I need?
A recommendation letter is a form filled out by an alumna of a sorority on behalf of a potential new member. For Chi Omega, an active member of another university chapter can write a letter of recommendation as well. The alumna and active members should refer to her affiliation’s national website for more information on these forms.
You will need to provide the alumna with a resumé and a photo of yourself. The recommendation letters do not have to be from Mississippi State alumnae, but it is suggested to have at least one recommendation letter for each sorority. (TIP…Send a thank you note a week or so after requesting a recommendation letter. This reminds the alumna to submit her recommendation!)
How has being in a sorority impacted you?
We are a sisterhood of diverse individuals, and each of us has a personal story as to why we chose Chi Omega and how our fraternity has impacted our lives. As a whole, joining a sorority has allowed us to be empowered by women leadership, motivation, and friendship. In Chi Omega, we are able to enjoy one another’s company as friends and sisters. We have found our community and will forever be “changed for good.”
What do I wear during the week of recruitment?
You will receive a t-shirt for the go greek, philanthropy and sisterhood days of recruitment. These colors and designs will be released in Summer 2024 on MSU Panhellenic’s instagram. You will be given the opportunity to style your outfit with accessories, bottoms, and shoes that allow you to express yourself! There is no preferred color for your Pref Night dress. Be true to your personality! (TIP…The days are long and HOT with lots of walking! Find comfortable shoes that will not give you blisters, and keep a ponytail on your wrist in case it gets too hot.)
What is your best advice for going through recruitment?
Recruitment is the best time to let your personality shine through! It is a time to focus on what you want out of your four years at MSU, and choose the best option for YOU! Also, take this opportunity to get to know the girls as you walk across the row between parties, at the snack stations, or in line for a party. This is the perfect time to begin new friendships, regardless of the sorority pledged at the end of the week!
Do you have any questions that weren’t answered?
